We diagnose and manage a variety of eye emergencies, including:
Eye Infections & Inflammation: Bacterial or viral infections can cause redness, irritation, discharge, and pain. Conditions like pink eye (conjunctivitis), uveitis, and keratitis require prompt treatment to prevent worsening symptoms or damage to the eye.
Foreign Objects in the Eye: Dust, metal, wood, glass, or chemicals can cause serious irritation or injury if not removed properly. Avoid rubbing the eye and seek immediate care to prevent further damage.
Corneal Abrasions & Scratches: A scratch on the eye’s surface can cause pain, light sensitivity, and blurred vision. Even minor abrasions can become infected if not properly treated.
Sudden Vision Loss or Flashes of Light: Vision changes, including flashes, floaters, or a dark curtain over your vision, may signal a retinal detachment or stroke-related eye issue, both of which require immediate medical attention.
Chemical Exposure & Burns: If chemicals get into your eye, immediately flush with clean water for at least 15 minutes and seek urgent care. Some chemical injuries require immediate emergency room treatment.
Acute Glaucoma Attacks :A sudden rise in eye pressure can cause intense pain, headache, nausea, and vision loss. This is a medical emergency that requires immediate intervention.
